Eye allergies may be experienced for a number of different reasons, but the most common eye allergy is Allergic conjunctivitis. Allergic conjunctivitis presents as inflammation of the eye caused by an allergic reaction. 1

Eye allergies tend to be diagnosed in younger individuals younger than 20 years and tends to be less prevalent in older individuals. 2
